I have had a an analog cable converter for quite some time. After a short Internet outage the day before, I found out what it would cost to have a digital converter. Turns out, they are offering a year at no charge. So, today I took our digital converter and two analog converters and upgraded them with 3 new digital converters. Sweet.
So, I pigged out on cable today, hence the previous post.
Oh, and I saw "The 40 Year Old Virgin". I've been avoiding it for most part. I was surprised and enjoyed it. I guess I cringed to think that he would be uncomfortably humiliated. But, he actually made a strong turn around and coming out. It was funny to be sure, and his "buddies" had their foibles too.
Hmmm, cable soft-core, why doesn't it grab me. Oh, it's good for background. I guess because it tries to look hard-core but ends up castrated. Oh, and the writing doesn't do any better than hard-core, so it is ends up limping along. Oh, some nice nudity, but it isn't much better than static images.

Honestly-you are in the stone age... I have about 3 million channels here...all digital and interactive and whatnot...
Oh, I know it, but I don't mind. Since I've been blogging and motorcycling, I'm not nearly the couch potato I once was.
Besides, with 3 million channels you either have to plan days in advance or surf for hours before you find something you want to watch.

I haven't seen the 40-year-old virgin yet despite it having had come out two years ago and I don't know if I want to watch it. I always thought it'd probably make me depressed even though people have had good things to say about it because I thought they weren't in the same position that it'd be full of nastiness at the expense of people who aren't the same.
